We have reached a significant milestone of our sustainability strategy by achieving ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certification, independently verified by Telarc. Our certification is an important validation that our management system is effective at identifying, capturing, and improving our environmental impacts.
Adding ISO 14001 into our integrated management system alongside our ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and Ekos Zero Carbon Business Operations certifications creates a holistic management and compliance framework for all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental aspects across our business operations. It is also a leap forward in our strategy to reduce carbon emissions and increase our environmental awareness.
Our biggest source of emissions is our business travel, and we continue to take advantage of our nationwide reach through our office network across the country. We continue to locate expertise as close to clients as possible to serve their needs. This creates a win-win as we minimise our emissions and carbon offset requirements while minimising travel and disbursement costs for our clients.
As we all strive to understand our environmental impacts and proactively manage them, Edison is proud to be recognised with the ISO 14001 certification. However, the work doesn’t stop here. Our Sustainability Working Group continues with the action plan to achieve our sustainability goals. We will keep you updated on our progress.
Thanks to Cory Dixon and Louise Meiklejohn for their hard work to achieve this important goal.
