Transpower’s project to replace aging primary and secondary outdoor equipment at the Mt Roskill substation saw Edison deploy a multi-disciplinary team, contributing breadth and depth of industry experience to support project delivery.
Transpower commenced an upgrade of the primary and secondary outdoor equipment at the Mt Roskill substation to meet their current design standards, implement robust technology and increase safety features. The project included multiple design and construction packages utilising different contract forms including a 3910 Civil Contract and Transpower FIDIC style electrical contracts.
Edison was engaged by Transpower for a number of roles to support project delivery, acting as the Engineer’s Representative for the civil building works and technical support and advisor to the Project Manager for the electrical installation works. Additionally, Edison provided testing and commissioning support for the multi staged project.
